Jump-In

About Jump-In

The Jump-in intervention (now part of the ‘Healthy School’ approach) stimulates primary school students in Amsterdam to exercise more and eat healthily. The program focuses mainly on primary schools with children from underprivileged families. Previous evaluations proved that the component stimulating physical activities was successful. Now, research focuses on an evaluation of the effect of the project on eating and drinking behavior of children. Additionally, the experiences of children, parents, and teachers of the nutrition policies are studied.

We execute this project together with Academische Werkplaats Jeugd en Gezondheid en de GGD Amsterdam.
